According to the different diameters and lengths of the neon tubes and the different gases placed in the tubes, the working voltage of the electrodes is different. Usually the voltage applied to the electrodes of the lamp tube is 4000~15000V. The high voltage power supply is provided by a dedicated neon lamp transformer. The neon light device consists of two parts: a lamp tube and a transformer.

Neon lights are special-purpose lights that are not used as lighting. They are used for advertising, propagating and indicative lighting devices.

Installation method and requirements:

(1) The capacity of each neon lamp transformer is calculated as 450VA. The control switches and wires used must meet this capacity standard.

(2) The neon light transformer should be installed near the neon light tube as much as possible. To shorten the high-voltage wiring; but it cannot be installed around flammable products.

(3) The neon light transformer can be installed indoors or outdoors but must be installed in a metal protective box. The box body should be waterproof, rain-proof and snow-proof, and the shutters should be opened on both sides for ventilation and heat dissipation.

(4) The power input circuit of the neon lamp transformer should be controlled by a knife switch and protected by a fuse. The iron core, metal casing, one end of the output terminal and the protection box of the neon lamp transformer need to be reliably grounded.

(5) The neon lamp tubes and transformers installed outdoors should not be less than 4m above the ground and at least 1m away from the balcony, balcony window and overhead lines.

(6) For neon lights installed indoors, the height from the ground should not be lower than 2.5m; if it is lower than 2.5m, a fence should be installed to protect the suspended neon lights, which should be hung with galvanized iron wire or chains.

(7) The conductors of the high-voltage circuit of neon lights should use high-voltage insulated wires, or bare copper wires that wear glass tubes. When high-voltage lines pass through buildings, they must be covered with double-layer glass tubes to strengthen insulation. The two ends of the double-layer glass tubes should be exposed to the building. 50~80mm on both sides.

(8) The distance between the high-voltage wires, or between the high-voltage wires and the laying surface should not be less than 50mm. The distance between the two support points of the high-voltage wires is: when laying horizontally. 0.5m for vertical laying is 0.75m.
